Guided Bone Restoration
This is a newer area in Dentistry and the dentists here at Alder Family Dental are excited about these new treatment possibilities. We use an interdisciplinary team approach in this area, utilizing our local Oral Surgeons and Periodontists. Guided bone regeneration (GBR) and guided tissue regeneration (GTR) are dental surgical procedures that use barrier membranes to direct the growth of new bone and gingival tissue at sites with insufficient volumes or dimensions of bone or gingiva for proper function, esthetics or prosthetic restoration. Many times, it requires several surgeries to obtain our objective but the results when necessary can make or break the case.
